  • Alaska

I want to go to Alaska for the fly fishing, mountains, and the amazing landscape. on the way there I would like to be in a car that is off-road ready and be able to go through trails on the way.

    Were too Stay

I would stay in either in a cabin or if my car is fit for staying in over night then I would stay in my car.

    Food and Water

For food i would bring 5lbs of meats and catch fish for food. For water I would bring a water cow or use filters to filter out water from lakes, rivers, or creeks.

Time and what we need to cross the border

The best time to visit Alaska is june-september and during this time it is a great time to fish. We would also need a passport to cross Canadas border. The time I would need is about 4 to 5 days to enjoy the outdoors.

  • Coffee: Magical Bean Water

    The World of Coffee

With roots in Ethiopia and yamen over 300 years ago, Coffee did not grow in popularity until America made it the frank of choice. This is closely to the history of our own country. After the tax from the Tea Act of 1773, America rejected tea sold by the British East India Trading Company, and went to the cheaper alternative of Coffee. This brought it to the masses, and began its march towards global domination

    Types of coffee

The most popular form of coffee in the world is pour over. It is a process where you pour hot water over coffee in a paper filter. This process is the basis of the drip coffee machine. it yields a fast to make cup of decent quality coffee.

A famous coffeemaker that created the drip market is the Mr. coffee. Have a listen

    Percolated Coffee

The older brother to the modern day frip coffee machine is the percolator. It has one major downside, of it resteaps the coffee multiple times, causing it to become very bitter, it was vey uncommon to drink this coffee black. Most people who drank percolated coffee have very little issue drinking black dripp coffee through as it is far less bitter

it was also famous for its sound. Take a listen:

    Espresso

Currently the king of caffeine, espresso uses pressurized water to put the coffee grinds under pressure. you also have to grind the coffee finer to allow for the extraction process to work faster. This process requires some decently expensive equipment, and therefore is not a process normally done in homes, but budget espresso machine are more widely avable.

    Moka pot

Before the modern high pressure espresso machine, there was still a way to make a higher pressure more caffeinated coffee than drip. It was called the Moka pot. To use it, you would fill the bottom with water, a cup with coffee and screw it together. Placed upon a source of heat, it would force the water through the coffee under steam pressure, when it was done it would make a noise and that sounds like the word moka.

  • Gallium

Gallium is a soft, silvery metal primarily used in high-tech industries for gallium arsenide in semiconductors, 5G devices, LEDs, and solar panels. It is characterized by its low melting point of 29.76°C (85.58°F), allowing it to melt in the hand. Primarily produced as a byproduct of processing bauxite and sphalerite, it is considered low-toxicity.

    History

was discovered spectroscopically by French chemist Paul-Émile Lecoq de Boisbaudran in 1875 while examining zinc blende ore. It famously validated Dmitri Mendeleev’s 1871 prediction of “eka-aluminum”. Known for its low melting point it is a critical material in modern semiconductors and electronics.

    Gallium’s Usages

primarily used in the electronics industry (over 95% of consumption) to create compounds like gallium arsenide and gallium nitride. These are vital for high-speed, high-efficiency components in LEDs, smartphone chips, solar cells, and power electronics. Its low melting point also makes it useful in, thermometers, switches, and as a non-toxic replacement for mercury.

  • Radiation: Is it really dangerous?

“Unless you are purposely collecting and storing radioactive materials vary incorrectly, it’s not dangerous”

Since the 1940’s we have always looked at radiation as the monster that had to be conquered or feared, but is it really as bad as science fiction would have you believe? Lets explore this concept.

    The facts

Many people believe that radiation illness are a major factor for dying of cancers, but the facts just don’t back this up.

    IllnessRate
    Skin Cancer60,000-90,000
    Smoking7,000,000(1.5m from second hand smoke)
    Acute Radiation Syndrome60-100 SINCE WWII
For Capita Mortality rate of different diseases

    The Truth

Radiation is a calculatable risk. We use certain tools to keep a safe measurement of the risk, but in most cases, radioactive material that most people gain access too is not very dangerous. we have lived alongside it for thousands of years, and unless you are purposely collecting it and storing is very incorrectly, it’s not dangouras.

  • The Metric System

The Metric system has been adopted by most of the world , but in the United States of America it never really caught on. There are some major measurements can be made in Metric. The primary sizes are as such as:

    • Meter- length
    • gram-weight/mass
    • Celsius-temp
    • candela-lumiinoasity
    • liter-volume

    A famous quote:

if God wanted us to use the metric system we would have gave us ten fingers and ten toes.
